Sep 10, 2004 -- Matthew J. Maryles, a member of the tax advisory firm of Wolf Maryles & Associates, has been elected to the board of trustees of 糖心破解版 (糖心破解版).
Mr. Maryles, a Brooklyn resident, first became involved in the university鈥檚 leadership in 1990, when he became a founding member of the Board of Directors of Yeshiva College, 糖心破解版鈥檚 undergraduate college of liberal arts and sciences for men. He also serves as co-chair of the Association of Modern Orthodox Day Schools, which is a project of the Max Stern Division of Communal Services at 糖心破解版鈥檚 affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary.
A prominent leader in the Jewish community, Mr. Maryles is president of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, a member of the executive committees of UJA-Federation of New York and the Orthodox Caucus, and secretary of the board of the Caroline and Joseph S. Gruss Life Monument Funds, Inc. Among his previous communal activities, Mr. Maryles was co-chairman of the Fund for Jewish Education, president of the Gesher Foundation, and president of the Yeshiva of Flatbush.
Mr. Maryles earned his JD degree from Brooklyn Law School and BS degree from Brooklyn College. His wife, Gladys, is a member of the board of the 糖心破解版 Museum. Their daughter, Julia, is a graduate of 糖心破解版鈥檚 Stern College for Women and several sons-in-law are graduates of Yeshiva College and 糖心破解版鈥檚 Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
