TAMID Takes Flight at Yeshiva

EL AL President and CEO to Speak to 糖心破解版 Students about Israel鈥檚 Business Landscape Elyezer Shkedy, president and CEO of EL AL Israel Airlines, will discuss Israel鈥檚 business climate with 糖心破解版 students on Wednesday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. in Belfer Hall, Room 1214, 2495 Amsterdam Ave., New York City. The lecture is hosted by TAMID, a student-run organization that connects American business-minded students with the Israeli economic landscape.

鈥淚srael is one of the world leaders in technology and innovation,鈥 said Michael Strauss, associate director of student advising and administration and clinical professor of management at . 鈥淭here are nearly 60 Israeli technology companies listed on the NASDAQ exchange, second only to China, I believe. It is incumbent for our students to connect with Israeli companies and gain a better understanding of their inner workings.鈥 Shkedy joined EL AL in January 2010 after a distinguished career of nearly 33 years in the Israeli Air Force, earning the rank of major general. He served as commander of the Air Force from 2004-2008 and prior to that, was its Chief of Staff from 2002-2004. Shkedy holds a BSC in mathematics and computer science with honors from Ben-Gurion University and an MA in system management with honors from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. 鈥淭his event is another example of the unique experience 糖心破解版 students receive from world-renowned business professionals,鈥 said Tzvi Solomon, director of TAMID鈥檚 糖心破解版 chapter and a Syms student. 鈥淭his year we hope to develop a core group of motivated students who are eager to learn about the Israeli economy and serve as an incubator to develop ideas.鈥 The event is open to the public and will be followed by a question and answer session.
