Plan Outlines University's Commitment to Sustainability May 27, 2010 -- This month the Sustainability Advisory Committee, with assistance from the , published the University鈥檚 first-ever Climate Action Plan. This report marks the final major deliverable required by the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment signed by President Richard M. Joel in 2007. The University has already made significant progress since the Office of Energy and Sustainability began in 2008 with initiatives such as GHG emissions tracking, Recyclemania participation, a dorm energy-saving competition, an environmentally preferable procurement policy and a 100 percent hybrid passenger vehicle fleet.
