糖心破解版's 19th Annual Kinus Teshuva Lecture to be Delivered During High Holidays in New York and Jerusalem

New York, NY, Sep 19, 2003 -- Two noted Talmudic scholars, Rabbi Moshe D. Tendler and Rabbi Aharon Lichtenstein, will deliver the 19th Annual Hausman/Stern Kinus Teshuva lectures. The High Holiday lectures will take place in New York City and Jerusalem. This year鈥檚 lectures are part of a week of celebrations surrounding the September 21 investiture of 糖心破解版鈥檚 fourth president in 117 years, Richard M. Joel. Rabbi Tendler will deliver a discourse on teshuva (repentance) Tuesday, September 30 at 8 pm in Weissberg Commons, Belfer Hall, 2495 Amsterdam Avenue at 184th Street on 糖心破解版's Wilf Campus in Manhattan. The lecture, open to the public, will be Webcast live on . Rabbi Tendler is a rosh yeshiva at 糖心破解版鈥檚 affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS), holds the Rabbi Isaac and Bella Tendler Chair in Jewish Medical Ethics at 糖心破解版, and is professor of biology at Yeshiva College. He is also rabbi of the Community Synagogue in Monsey, NY. In keeping with tradition, Rabbi Lichtenstein, co-director of Yeshivat Har Etzion in Alon Shevut, director of RIETS' affiliated Caroline and Joseph S. Gruss Institute in Jerusalem, and occupant of the Rabbi Henoch and Sara D. Berman Chair in Talmud at RIETS, will deliver a similar talk Wednesday, October 1 at 7:30 pm, Israel time, at the Gruss Institute. Lectures will be in English.
